Only two people have the courage and strength to stop Borf and save Earth: the beautiful Kimberly and the heroic Ace. But as they approach Borf’s stronghold, Ace is hit by the Infanto Ray, changing him into a child, and Kimberly is kidnapped by the evil madman. Armed with only a laser gun, Ace must find and destroy the Infanto Ray, rescue Kimberly and save the Earth.

The fate of Earth is in your hands!

This release of Don Bluth’s legendary animated arcade game features video transferred directly from the stunning high definition master, delivering the sharpest images and most vibrant colors ever – far better than the original laserdisc release.

Simply press on the direction pad to guide Ace in the right direction or fire your laser gun and blast those aliens away.

Don Bluth and his production teams are the creative genius behind such beloved classics as The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail and Anastasia to name but a few.

We hope you enjoy Space Ace!

Pros and cons of Space Ace app for iPhone and iPad

Space Ace app good for

A fabulous game. Really brings me back to my youth! The graphics are awesome - just like watching an animated film!! 5 stars!!! Well worth the cost.
This is pretty much as I remembered the arcade version (not that yucky pc one). I would recommend for anyone looking for nostalgia, but new players should know that the gameplay is very short compared to today standards. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is presence of macro-blocking during some of the fast action scenes.
Wow this is so cool. I spent so much money on this game when I was young and never got to the end. Now I have and on my iPhone. How cool is that?
Ive only played the Dragons Lair games but never Space Ace. Since I downloaded it, I fell in love and amm highly addicted to it. Controls are just perfect and gameplay is sweet. I highly recommend this app to all ages, for the price, its captiveness and the fact that its a classic. Keep up the great work!
Classic Game done amazingly well on the iPod Touch/iPhone. Of all the versions I have played throughout the years this has to be about the best running version out there. Be warned for those that have never played an animated laserdisc game from the 80s, this is a short game that has you memorize moves to an animated cartoon. For people out there that fed quarter after quarter into these machines when they were younger it is a nostalgic trip down memory lane. I am a huge fan of Don Bluths laserdisc games and look forward to Dragons Lair and Dragons Lair 2: Time Warp. My only gripe is it is missing the roller skates section of the game.
Perfect port in fact, too perfect as the the software emulation even makes the same mistakes the original arcade game made when accessing scenes from the laserdisk! Has anyone else noticed this? Get this game! Period! Dragons Lair cant be hard to find!

Some bad moments

You cant even enjoy the game because youre staring at the stupid buttons waiting to find out which one youre supposed to push. Youre not even playing the game! Waste of time and money, dont bother!
It seems like this game is only for old-school people, and not for people like me who really enjoy gameloft, ngmoco, and electronic arts. Cant figure out why in the world I bought this game! Not worth the money. atleast not for me !!!!!!!!!!!!
Very disappointed by Space Ace if you play the easy mode (33% of the game) you can see the moves to help you but the medium and difficult mode you dont have any hints for the moves, I contacted the technical support about this and they told me maybe in a future upgrade… The game was published in June 2010 and no updates…. So you cannot see the full game because you have no clues about the moves, so for me it doesnt worth the price, 4.99 for playing the easy mode its too expensive. I dont understand why they did a so great job with dragons lair (all moves in all modes) but not in Space Ace
Error during ipod sync: "The Space Ace was not installed on the iphone because it could not be verified.
This game will be most likely be replaced with a new version. You will probably have to buy it again for $4.99. The developer has done this with Dragons Lair 1 and 2. Buyer beware. The one star rating is an evaluation of company trust and willingness to listen to consumer concerns to fix game issues.
Right at the beginning maybe th 8th or 9th prompt doesnt register so its a very short game for me. It seems that the game works fer others. Its been like this fer at least a year. Now I wanted to try it on iPad . And still not working. Bummed
